Succinctly but no less rigorously, this work tries to explain the historical precedents of the Greek concept of mímesis, tackling different perspectives of the academic discussion. According to the magical-religious origin of this word, we must keep in mind that its early meaning was much richer and more complex than our massive and modern notion of resemblance or representation.
